About Us

Bethany ELM is an expression of Bethany Lutheran Church’s purpose: Living Christ’s love within a changing world.

Our Mission

We support parents and families by offering children, ages 6 weeks to 5 years, early education experiences nurturing the whole child.

Our Promise

Bethany ELM designs and delivers academic and social experiences to meet developmentally appropriate expectations that support young learners.
We believe in the value and uniqueness of each child as a child of God.
We strive to develop in all our children the “5 C’s Qualities”
Confidence, Compassion, Creativity, Curiosity, and Competence.
We meet the needs of the whole child in a fun, creative, nurturing environment.
We believe the learning environment should be safe and loving, challenging and stimulating, developmentally appropriate and fun.
We believe our role as educators is to model Christian values, respect each child, provide acceptance and safety, nurture self-esteem, be good listeners, and offer parents assistance and support.

Our Teachers

We hire only nurturing, professional people who have a passion for teaching. Bethany ELM believes education is a lifelong process – one is never too old to learn; this philosophy is embraced by our Directors, Teachers, and Staff.

Our staff participates in continuing education seminars, classes, and early education conventions. Our investment in staff provides a positive educational experience for your child.

Our Curriculum

Bethany Early Learning Ministry uses THE CREATIVE CURRICULUM® FOR PRESCHOOL.

Our Standards

Bethany Early Learning Ministry is a Registered Childcare Ministry as regulated by the State of Indiana. Bethany Early Learning Ministry accepts the Child Care Development Fund vouchers; we therefore are required to meet additional regulations as prescribed by the State of Indiana. We take pride in providing a safe, secure, and modern facility for all children and staff. We hold ourselves to extremely high standards and are in the process of seeking NAEYC accreditation.

Registered Ministry Daycares must pass the four areas of the Voluntary Certification Program to participate in the State of Indiana’s Quality Rating System, PATHS TO QUALITY. We are proud of achieving Levels I, II and III. We will be happy to share more information and schedule a tour for you and your child today! We guarantee you will love our early childhood program.
